The Dart Madness Tour is a yearly non-professional steel tip dart tournament series to expose players to a long format style tournament. The tour consist of 8 -12 events/qualifiers (tour stops) throughout the year to qualify players for the Dart Madness Championship event in November of each year. Each event will consist of a long format steel tip singles competition. Round Robin brackets of 4-8 players to start the competition followed by single elimination knockout brackets. In 2025 we will have two tours going – open and challenger (players with PPR below 48), All games are 501 open in/double out.
The Championship Finale weekend will be a 3-day event where all qualified players will be invited to compete in long format knockout bracket championships. Each bracket will have players seeded based on points accumulated throughout the year and a player’s PPR. The weekend will also have other events like Men’s and Women’s doubles and Mixed Triples and blind draws.
The Dart Madness Tour is hosted by Dart Players St. Louis which is a part of Dart Players North America. All matches and averages will be played on tablets using the Dart Connect scoring software.
New in 2025!
In 2025 we will essentially be running two separate tours – Open and Challenger tours. The Challenger tour will be for players with a PPR under 48. To determine qualification for the Challenger tour we will use past year’s Dart Madness Tour points lists PPR’s. If you never finished a year with a PPR above 48 then you are eligible for the Challengers tour. The top 24 players in the Open and Challenger Tour points list that played at least 3 tour qualifiers will compete in the main finale Premier and Challenger Championship brackets. All other players that competed in at least 3 Dart Madness qualifiers in 2025 will be qualified to play in the Open Championship bracket or a second Challenger Championship bracket. And if there is enough participation this second Challenger bracket could be a Women’s Open Championship bracket. If there are multiple Open Championship brackets (more than say 32 players) then these Open brackets will be flighted first and then seeded based on tour points. All the details and more information is available on the Rules and Regulations page.
Also in 2025, there will continue to be a bonus point system. All players that play in more than 2 qualifiers will receive bonus points. You will get 3 bonus points for your third qualifier you play in, 4 bonus points for your fourth qualifier and 5 bonus points for your fifth qualifier for a maximum of 12 possible bonus points. Bonus points will count toward your Tour points standings however they will not count toward your max limit which determines if you are eligible to play more qualifiers once you hit the maximum of 63 points in both tours. Once again, all the details are in the Rules and Regulations page.
The Top 2 players in the open and in the challenger tour points list will receive free entry into their respective Championship Finale. All players that max out their points will get free entry into the Finales if more than 2 do so. And again in 2025, if you play in at least 8 qualifiers (down from 9 in years past) you will get free entry into whichever Finale you qualify for.
