Hard to believe how quickly this year has gone by but yes we have made it to the first Finale weekend of the 2019 Dart Madness tour. Finale weekend will be Nov. 22 through Nov. 24 at South 94 Bistro in St. Peters. Besides our 60 finalists battling it out for the Dart Madness crown we will have events all weekend for all players – Blind draws, triple shot pots, mens doubles, ladies doubles, mixed triples and even a silent auction blind draw where you can buy your partner (if you are the highest bidder that is!). The 2019 Dart Madness Tour was the inaugural tour. I definitely think it was a success. Participation wasn’t quite what we had hoped but it wasn’t that far below what we had hoped. We had 83 total players take part in the tour. The top 64 players were invited to the finale and only 10 were unable to accept their invite. Six of those spots were filled by others down the list giving us a total of 6 players for the finale. We were learning as we went along and we will be back in 2020 and hopefully will be bigger and better.

Here are some of the plans/goals for 2020:

• More involvement from across the State – satellite tournaments to be held in Kansas City, Jefferson City, Columbia and Springfield.
• There will be a separate womens tour – woman can still play in the open tour but we will attempt to have a womens tour as well
• Revised tour stop format to get more players involved
• Mark Lacombe from “You Shoot ’em I rank ’em” and the Gateway Youth League and Eric “Edubb” Robinson – Mr. Promote Darts himself are pledging $500 if any player shoots a 9 dart 501 game during the 2020 Tour
